Have Scale. Will Travel.

Well, I made it.  I am officially in Virginia now. Me and my scale.  It was a very busy few weeks up until now, so I apologize for not posting anything sooner.  I have been all over the place the last couple of months.  I started out in Sheboygan, then took a trip to Des Moines, spent my last week in Wisconsin in Neenah, and now I am here in Lynchburg, Virginia!! And you know what, my scale really did go all of those places with me.  I like to know that I am weighing myself on the same scale every week, so I don't have any doubts about the accuracy of the weigh-in.

So let's recap the last couple of weeks.  My last weigh-in in Wisconsin was not too delightful, but not horrible.  I only lost .2 and was actually surprised that I lost at all. It was most likely due to the few nights I spent out with friends.  Those nights all consisted of Miller Lites and usually eating out.

After that weigh-in I started doing a little better, watching my points closely, until Nikki and I got in the car to drive to Virginia.  It is hard to eat healthy on a road trip, but we didn't do too bad in the car.  Although I did buy a couple of energy drinks (which I am never doing again by the way...I thought I was having a heart attack afterwards) that were full of sugar, and lots of regular soda, also full of sugar. But after we got here I splurged a few too many times and ended up gaining a pound last week.

Since last Thursday, I have been doing great on the plan.  I knew I could lose that pound easily, and hopefully some more.  I have been trying to hit the 40 pound mark for a few weeks now, and this week...I did it!!!  I am down 40.6 pounds as of today!!  I am so excited!!  It feels like an awesome milestone for me.  I am really starting to feel better and like the way my body is looking.  I still have further to go, but I am feeling awesome today!!

Here is my advice....don't ever walk away from your plan and your goals.  Keep them with you every step of the way, whether it is your journal, your running shoes or your scale.  Anything to remind you of your success and your future will keep you motivated.  I definitely needed a good week like this to keep me going, it just makes me feel like I am doing something right!  So here is to YOUR good week!

Until next time...

  1. Erin- I came over here from the WW site - I grew up in Lynchburg and was just there this past October. There is a fantastic walking/biking trail downtown crossing the James River. I highly recommend it!
